About

Since 2007 I have been working on Lensroll.com with my webiness partner Greg. We actually knew each other from a forum for 2 years. No long drawn out private discussions, just good old fashioned mutual respect for what the other posted in the threads.

Since 2007 the site has grown in popularity, usage and Google love, and I made the occasional blog post. That’s become more frequent lately. And it’s got to the point that I’m not always discussing things that are just about Squidoo. So I kicked the idea around with Greg to do something that’s encompasses something bigger than Squidoo. That has an audience much larger than just Lensmasters.

My first thought was to throw up a “We’ve Moved” sign up on the blog at Lensroll (though keep doing the pligg side of Lensroll) and just do Startpoint.Biz, but after some discussion, and excellent advice from Greg, the consensus is to keep both. Google has been giving the Lensroll blog a lot of love. And why kiss that goodbye? I’ll be making fairly frequent posts on the Lensroll blog as I have the urge, about things that are specifically Squidoo related. Though I may also mention some aspects about Squidoo here too, if it’s relevant to a wider audience.

Here on Startpoint.Biz I’ll be stepping it up and posting regularly. I’ve got a lot of things on my mind (and notes on my hard drive) that will benefit old timers and newbs alike, and a few ideas to spice things up.

Greg is a wealth of knowledge and technical proficiency and while he’ll be keeping the site ticking along in the backend he’s also the guy I rely on for advice on SEO, keyword research and heck of a lot of stuff that I’ve only got a rudimentary grasp on.

Stick around, we’ve got some learning to do.
